All employed at BDE are from an engineering and motorcycle background with complimentary skills to support their enthusiasm for the jobs they undertake.
Mick BroomResponsible for development and testing, project management. After an engineering apprenticeship, making precision grinding machines, he became involved in all aspects of road racing, modifying machines to competing in all classes be it solo, sidecar, vintage or modern. He has tried most forms of competitive motorcycling over the years before moving on to development and testing for the manufacturers. He still had time to try management, sales, canal trip boats and boat construction. He now has an interest in flying, having constructed his own plane. |

Responsible for the entire machine shop activities. We are looking for someone to opperate the machine shop covering interesting
very small volume work on general machines. the parts are used on the
bikes and microlight aircraft. Full training if required. |
We have in the past and will continue to work with local universities when it is beneficial to the university, students, and ourselves. We are currently working with Cranfield University on a submission to the CAA for a modification to a CFM Shadow Microlight aircraft. We are also looking for suitable trainees.
New to this year we are at present considering applications from overseas professionals for short workplace experience to improve both language and engineering skills.
